This project started as a personal need to organize the chaos on my electronics workbench. Standard organizers never fit my specific tools (calipers, specific wire cutters, soldering tips), so I designed a modular system.
The base grid features embedded magnets, and each module snaps cleanly into place. Everything was modeled in Fusion 360 and printed in matte black PLA.
The Process
Iterating through the prototypes required testing different magnetic tolerances to ensure the components snapped together with a satisfying feeling without being too difficult to remove.
